MV Agusta, an Italian motorcycle manufacturer with a rich sportbike racing history, has been shaking things up a bit a lately with a new adventure bike project that Cycle Volta sibling title MotorcyclistOnline.com has been covering, As part of that effort, dubbed the Lucky Explorer Project, MV Agusta recently unveiled two upcoming off-road pedal-assist bicycles echoing the same spirit of adventure.

The E-Enduro is a long-travel eMTB powered by a Bosch Performance Line CX mid-motor.MV Agusta

The E-Enduro is powered by a Bosch Performance Line CX mid-drive motor paired with either a 625Wh or 750Wh Bosch PowerTube integrated battery. It has 180 millimeters of front travel, but it’s unclear how much squish MV Agusta has put out back. (Somewhere in the range of 160 to 180 millimeters is a fair assumption, however.) The full-carbon 29er certainly gets a high-end build, with SRAM’s top-end XX1 Eagle AXS wireless electronic shifting, a Fox Float 38 Factory fork, Fox DHX2 coil piggyback shock, a flashy set of Italian INCAS brakes, Fox Factory Transfer dropper seatpost, and Race Face Next R 31 carbon wheels.

The drop-bar E-Gravel model taps a lightweight Mahle X20 hub drive with a downtube-integrated 350Wh battery for its get-up-and-go. Customers will get to choose just how off-road-capable they want the carbon E-Gravel to be: MV Agusta plans to offer either a rigid carbon fork or Fox 32 K Float AX gravel suspension fork as options. Suitably, the build is big on Italian representation, with a Campagnolo Ekar 13-speed gravel drivetrain and brakes, Pirelli Cinturato Gravel M 700 x 45c, tires, and Prologo Dimension AGX gravel saddle. MV Agusta says the E-Gravel weighs 29.5 pounds and is capable of up to 87 miles of range on a charge.
