Both the CrossConnect and CrossCore are powered by Yamaha’s PW Series SE mid-drive unit, a Class 1 motor with four levels of pedal assist up to 20 mph, cadence support up to 110 rpm, and max power of 500 watts. Yamaha ebikes have a triple-sensor system with the speed sensor designed into the rear hub and a “zero cadence” assist function to detect forward pedaling movement and activate the power-assist system.
